Gable Leisure pool was renovated in the summer 2021 and is a modern fresh pool. Maintained at a warm 32 degrees, this lovely new pool is ideal for our swimming lessons as less harsh chemicals have been used so this is ideal for your little ones skin. The pool is private for our use and is situated in beautiful surroundings, there is ample parking and large changing areas. An immaculately clean, modern pool you’ll feel like you are at a spa! Classes are held on Thursday mornings for our baby to preschool classes. Ideal location for parents/guardians in Portishead, Nailsea, Bedminster, Clevedon and Bristol City Centre.
Preschool to Adult swimming lessons at The Downs Preparatory School Wraxall BS48 1PF
The Downs Preparatory School was renovated in the summer 2023 and is a modern fresh pool. Set in beautiful grounds with ample car parking space, this lovely new pool is ideal for our swimming lessons for all levels from beginner to coaching. This pool is ideal for all levels with a length of 20 metres and ideal depth for all swimmers fantastic pool to teach and coach our swimmers. In the summer months the retractable roof can fold down for an outdoor experience, in the winter the fully enclosed pool is warm and fully heated. The facilities have large changing areas, and seated area indoor and outdoor for those warm or rainy days! An immaculately clean, modern pool that is fully maintained and well looked after. Our Swim Academy classes are held on Thursdays from 4pm and Sundays from 3pm.

Georgina
The Downs, Wraxall Teacher
Georgina is one of our lovely Gable Leisure teachers and is level 2 qualified. Georgina has been teaching since 2021 teaching children and adults from beginners right through to competitive swimmers.
Georgina is SAT, Safeguarding children qualified and is fully DBS checked. Georgina brings passion and a gentle approach to our swimming classes but is excellent and getting little ones to swim and perfecting their technique.
Nicola
Gable Leisure, Wraxall Teacher
Nicola teaches our Preschool to Primary age classes and adult classes at Gable Leisure Pool in Wraxall and is a Level 2 Qualified Teacher .
Nicola is a very experienced swim teacher and has been teaching swimming since 2008 and is amazing at perfecting our swimmer’s stroke technique and assisting nervous adults to gain confidence in the water.

The Downs Wraxall Teacher
Catherine teaches our Preschool to Primary age classes and our adult 1:1 classes at Gable Leisure pool in Wraxall and is a Level 2 Qualified Teacher, swim coach and stroke technician.

Thank you so much for the aqua natal classes, Myki is absolutely fantastic! Without her birthing techniques alongside some hypnobirthing techniques I'd read up on, I don't know if I would have coped with my experience of labour as well as I did. I keep recomending the classes to friends.
I met one of the aqua natal mums on Monday at a breastfeeding support group, thanks to meeting her at the aquanatal class she gave me the encouragement to get out of the house which was a big step in my recovery. I have also met some lovely other ladies in class who I speak to almost every day and we have found lots of support in each other to become life long friends and share each others journey through pregnancy and parenthood.
